Theme
The 7th International Conference on the Optical Internet (COIN2008) will be held from 14 - 16 October 2008 at Akihabara Convention Hall, Tokyo, Japan. COIN2008 is co-located with APCC2008.
The COIN2008 conference is uniquely structured to bring together researchers, scientists and engineers working in both networking and traffic engineering as well as physical layer photonic hardware technologies to provide a forum for discussion and development of appropriate technologies through synergy and interaction between these areas.

Submission Instructions
Paper submission and review will be conducted on the EasyChairsystem.
All papers must be submitted in PDF format in camera ready form. Papers should not exceed 2 A4 pages in length and 2MB file size.
The following information must be included with the submission:
- Author information (principal author first). For each author: First (given) name (initials not acceptable), Last (family) name, Affiliation, and Email address.
- When making the on-line submission, please nominate the contact author who will be the person to receive all correspondence about the submission. Please ensure you have this information available before you begin the submission process.
- A 35 word abstract. The abstract submission is limited to 35 words. The abstract should clearly outline the objective, methodology and results of the contribution in order to provide a clear and useful summary for the reader.
- Presentation mode. Select and advise us of your preferred option for the presentation mode if your paper is selected (Oral only, Poster Only, Either format).
- IEEE Transactions templates for Microsoft Word or LaTeX formats provides full instruction and is found at: http://www.ieee.org/portal/pages/pubs/transactions/stylesheets.html.
- All submissions must be in English (avoid using any Asian fonts for bullets and symbols) and should be based on original, unpublished and recent developments and research contributions.
- A Copyright Transfer Form. All authors are requested to transfer copyright to The Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE), by completing and submitting the following agreement TOGETHER WITH the paper submission.
